Paula Jill Masters, 66, of Lakewood, CO, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, after a brave 19-month battle with glioblastoma.
Born on November 19, 1959, in Price, UT, to Paul and Flora Keller, Jill grew up in Price and spent her early years in Utah before graduating from Brigham Young University. As a newlywed she moved to North Carolina with her husband for his final year at Duke University. They then went to Indiana where Jill received her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Ball State University. Subsequently Jill moved to Utah, New York, and ultimately Colorado, with her growing family. Over the years she worked as a physical therapy aid, cardiac rehabilitation specialist, librarian, and substitute teacher, but her most cherished roles were as a wife and mother.
Everyone who knew Jill, whether well or in passing, described her amazing graciousness, kindness, and consideration. She was an incredible cook, baker, seamstress, and knitter. A visit to the reviews page of her Etsy store, Pj’s Knits Stocking Co., exemplifies the care, expertise, and passion she put into the projects she pursued. She was happiest when those around her were happy and worked incredibly hard, often behind the scenes, to make those she loved feel known and cared for.
Above all, Jill thrived with her family, and this shined brightest when she became a grandmother. This experience brought together the beautiful combination of her many gifts as she cared for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Masters; her children, Sierra Masters (Andy Munro), Hilary Duesenberg (Ryan), and Christian Masters (Juli Nicewarner); her grandchildren, Coen and Keller Munro, and Lily and Theodore Duesenberg; her brothers, James Keller (Janice) and Robert Keller (Lindsey Ferrari); and her sister, Carol Mathis (Bill), along with ten nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Flora Keller, and her sister, Michele Keller.
A memorial honoring her life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, 2:00 PM, at Calvary Englewood Church, located at 4881 S Acoma St, Englewood, CO 80110. Anyone whose life was touched by Jill, or those who knew and loved her, is encouraged to attend and join the family for a reception at the church immediately following the service. If you are unable to make the service in person, there will be an option to stream online at: https://calvaryenglewood.online.church
