Born just in time for dinner on 7/6/1984 and passed just in time for a heavenly lunch on
7/3/2025…
Pat – the man, the myth, the legend – has officially checked out of Earth Duty. He left
this world the same way he lived in it: with a wide-open heart, dog hair on his clothes,
and his ride-or-die, Osita, by his side. Knowing Pat, he probably looked over at her with
a crooked smile, gave a little nod and said, “Come on girl – we’re out” and she followed
behind with her tail wagging – trusting him just as much as he trusted her.
Pat leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a suspicious number of half-finished
DIY projects – each one a reminder of his ambitious drive, big heart, and willingness to
make everyone’s life better. He was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. With a
heart full of love, a spirit full of humor, a pocket full of kibble, and a kindness that knew
no bounds – he made those around him feel valued, loved, seen, and heard. He made
every moment shared simply unforgettable.
He was a devoted father that told the worst dad jokes, a caring and supportive partner,
and a true friend to many. As a son and brother, he brought joy, sarcasm, and a lot of
noise and energy to every room he walked into. And while each room is a little quieter
now, we hold on to the noise and love he left behind. Pat was thoughtful, generous, and
always made those around him feel deeply loved, valued, and appreciated. As a friend,
he brought laughter, understanding, and a steady presence that will be missed more
than words can say.
Pat had countless hobbies, but his true passion was dogs. He was respected by many
in the South Jersey area as the owner of Champs Dog House and Champion Puppy
Training. He was revered for his work with dogs. For Pat, it wasn’t work, it was a calling.
His mission to train dogs came from his desire to see them out of shelters and in loving
homes.
The loss we feel is immeasurable – but so is the love he gave us. He loved hard, cared
deeply, and cracked jokes even in the darkest moments. While we no longer see him,
he will live forever in our stories, and our hearts, and for many, in many a group chat.
We’ll miss you immensely Patrick, deeper than words can express, however, if heaven
ever needed a hype man, it certainly got the best.
He is probably in heaven right now, starting on some project, cracking jokes, and asking
the angels if they’ve got snacks.
He no longer walks beside us, yet we will keep him alive in every story, every joke,
every memory, and every random moment he made better just by being Pat. We will
forever be saying, “Remember that one time Pat..”
Pat is survived by his two daughters, Chloe Jo and Rachel Mary; his partner, Eliya Hurd;
his mother Cynthia Quinn; his father Tom Quinn and his wife Linda; his 3 sisters, Anna
(Joerg Ebner), Laura, and Jacqueline (James Small); the mother of his children, Jenna
Quinn, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and best friends.
A celebration of life will be held at his home in Colorado, Champs Dog House in
Medford, NJ, and his childhood home, Quinndom, in Coatesville, PA. All are welcome to
come and share stories, laughter, and love in his honor. If you are interested in
attending, and would like more details, please contact his partner Eliya at 610-550-1527
