Frank " Vinnie" Palamara Obituary

Frank Vincent “Vinnie” Palamara, age 34, passed away on August 1, 2024, in Aurora, Colorado. Vinnie
was born on August 8, 1989, in Margate, Florida to parents Frank J. and Martha Palamara. He graduated
from Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, FL with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in April
2011. After graduating, he relocated to Chicago, IL and went onto complete his Bachelor’s degree in
Nursing from Loyola University in Chicago, IL in December 2017. Vinnie’s love for nursing started while
working at Ascension St. Mary’s as an Emergency Room Nurse in Chicago, IL and then as a
Catheterization (Cath) Lab Nurse at The Medical Center of Aurora in Aurora, CO. He was passionate
about his work in the Cath Lab and sought additional training and certification to compliment his nursing
degree. Vinnie spoke highly of the multidisciplinary team in the Cath Lab and of the tireless work they
did to save lives every day.

Vinnie had several passions and hobbies, including spending time with his family and friends,
photography (especially pictures of his cats and the city of Chicago), bouldering, making and eating
pizza, gardening, identifying and planting wildflowers, game night with friends, singing karaoke, reading,
gaming, bicycling around Chicago with his best friend, Daniel Cortes Ampuero; and was self-taught in
painting, woodworking, and playing the guitar, bass, and drums. While attending FSU, Vinnie and his
best friend, Sean O’Connor started a band called Red Letter Telegram. They played in local bars and
Vinnie had fond memories of his college years. Vinnie enjoyed traveling, discovering local coffee shops,
exploring nature, going to concerts with his friends, and hanging out with his cats.

Vinnie is survived by his father, Frank J. Palamara; his mother, Martha Palamara; sister Amy Palamara
Nesbitt; brother-in-law, Stephen Nesbitt; their children, Sienna and Nicholas Nesbitt, and his felines,
Tiger and Howdy. Vinnie brought joy and love to the lives of many including family, friends, coworkers,
and even strangers he encountered.

Vinnie will be remembered for his contagious smile, sense of humor, kind and caring nature, laid back
personality, and impressive intelligence. He will be deeply missed by the family and friends he left behind and all others whose lives he touched.
